A Breather

Since we’ve moved in we’ve been painting and working and improving the place. And then Handsome Husband called me and told me that the beach temperatures were a record high. So I picked him up from work a little early and we drove to the coast for a little change. We arrived just before 5 o’clock. As we were walking on the beach we saw a news anchor and his camera man come on to the beach as well. Apparently the warm weather made the news.

They brought their boards from Santa to play with in the waves.

Poor Sweetie only had a small kick board because the elves got the wrong order. Poor thing. Baby Dragon shared hers with her. I think we might have to fix the situation.

Look at that happy face.

It was so funny watching the kids try to catch waves on their boards.

The girls took turns pulling each other on the little boogie board.

Love my boys.

Digging in the sand.

Captain Adorable’s feet sink in the sand.

Someone else etched this in the sand:

Handsome Husband showed Captain Adorable how to dig a tunnel.

Handsome Husband took Sweetie for a long walk.

They chased the seagulls.

There were lots of big flying ants. Captain Adorable liked to pick them up and put them in his little pool.

Baby Dragon was less impressed with the bugs.

There was a little stream leading to the ocean that had a pretty decent current. The girls liked riding their boards to the water.

I don’t love this picture of me, but I love that it is me with my boy.

absolutely beautiful! I can never get enough of the Oregon coast. I love watching the kids play in the water, dig in the sand, and have constant smiles on their faces.
