Captain Adorable had a playdate with three friends from school. They ate peanut butter and honey sandwiches. They played Hungry Hippos and jumped on the trampoline. They made up an obstacle course that they ran outside. They pet the neighbors’ dogs. At one point they came inside and played with Captain Adorable’s BB8 robot.

The boys were very impressed.

They all got a turn steering him around with my phone.

When it was time to go, I found them hiding under the neighbor’s hedge. They had hopped our fence and I couldn’t see them, I could only hear them. I saw them all pop up from beneath the hedge and jump back over the fence, dirty as could be. I told them not to go there anymore, but I was secretly charmed by their boyish games.
