This year our school has been having PE classes after school. The kids have learned about a myriad of different sports and have enjoyed trying them out. We went on a school field trip to go ice skating. Baby Dragon borrowed that coat from a friend. She stuck like glue to her friend B and enjoyed ice skating with her.
Sweetie had a great time. I love seeing how she just tackles new things fearlessly. She is rarely daunted. Just like when she is reading new long words, she just barrels right through like a pro. She often roller blades on her recess breaks at school, so ice skating came fairly easily to her.
Captain Adorable spent the first little while hugging the rail.
I love this picture that shows him tentatively letting go of the railing. He had so much fun ice skating. I thought for sure the kids would get tired of it and be frustrated with sore ankles or spills, but they all wanted to come back!
This is our PE teacher. She has been so awesome, arranging the curriculum and organizing all sorts of fun sporty outings. We plan to go boating, bowling, rock climbing and more this school year! And all thanks to her!
It was so nice of B to help Baby Dragon get confident on the ice!
More teachers and students.
The kids loved sharing this experience with friends.
Do you like Baby Dragon’s Bill and Ted shirt? Handsome Husband watched the 1989 movie with the kids and they loved it.
Mischievous boys. E put some collected ice down J’s shirt.
C is so proud of herself for learning how to spin.
So much fun!
