We happened to have two airplane tickets and I suggested that Handsome Husband use them to take Captain Adorable on a special boys’ weekend to Legoland. Handsome Husband was almost as excited as Captain Adorable. He was hoping to get one of his brothers to come along with his son, but it didn’t work out. But they had some good father son bonding time.
The first day they got to the park before it opened and had fun exploring the displays outside the gates.
I loved getting so many cute pictures of my boys.
I love that knight picture because we can see Captain Adorable’s baby blues.
Captain Adorable is riding a horse just for Sweetie. Sweetie wasn’t super interested in seeing the pictures, though. They made her a little jealous. I tried to soften the blow by taking her and Baby Dragon to see Cirque du Soliel for a special girls’ night.
Captain Adorable loved the driving school. He got a driver’s Lego license.
There were a lot of cool Lego sculptures.
Captain Adorable thought these big Bionicles were super cool.
Handsome Husband brought a whole bunch of minifigs to trade and when he went to trade with a worker, the worker pointed out this coin on his lanyard and told Handsome Husband that this was what he wanted instead of a minifig. This special golden token is actually a voucher for a FREE Legoland ticket! Apparently, there are only seven given out in a day. So now, Handsome Husband and Captain Adorable want to go back!
There were boat races and rides.
Captain Adorable is pointing to the cat in the tree, just for his sisters.
Handsome Husband is a big fan of polar bears, so of course he got a picture with one.
Handsome Husband won these big Pokemon toys for Captain Adorable. They aren’t fluffy, they are filled with styrofoam. But Captain Adorable loved them. They got a lot of attention as they carried the toys through the park.
Captain Adorable with Luke Skywalker. Handsome Husband says “I am your Father!”
Captain Adorable’s favorite part of the water park portion of Legoland was the lazy river. He liked to float down it and pick up the big floating Lego bricks and put them together.
They made lots of memories and had the best time together!
