Even though we just went to the beach a couple of days ago, we headed back out to the coast so that Handsome Husband could enjoy it.
He is happy in his big sand box.
Baby Dragon is still trying to learn to bring beach appropriate clothes. When we leave the house she is CONVINCED that she won’t want to get wet. And usually she changes her mind on while we are there. Eventually, she will figure it out.
Captain Adorable is starting to enjoy pulling faces for the camera.
Sweetie loves when Handsome Husband comes to the beach because he always goes in the water with her. Not everyone is willing to brave the frigid Pacific. I don’t like to go above my calves!
There was a big sandbar at this beach, so they could go out really far in shallow water.
I took a break from wielding my camera to make a sand sculpture. The kids helped some. This is a sleeping dragon.
That shiny black rock is a dragon egg. Sweetie and Captain Adorable are pretending to be baby dragons.
My Baby Dragon!
I wore a dress to the beach because I have a friend who always wears one and I wanted to see if I liked it. I like the feel of it, but it was a little challenging if I wanted to go into the waves to take pictures, I had to tuck the dress between my knees!
The dragon’s face. The kids found the stones and seaweed to decorate it with.
A lot of people walked by and admired our dragon. One girl asked if I was an artist, another person asked if I always make sculptures when I go to the beach. They were very kind. I enjoy trying to make a somewhat believable 3D dragon, trying to imagine where bones and muscles would be.
The kids threw the football with Handsome Husband in the water.
Handsome Husband offered to take Baby Dragon into the waves.
I believe I have pictures of all three kids on Handsome Husband’s back in the waves at some point or another.
Captain Adorable discovered that he really liked playing in the ocean! He usually avoids the water, but since it was pretty shallow, he joined Sweetie and had the best time.
I love how he is closing one eye to try and keep it from getting water in it.
Handsome Husband has wings! He is an angel!
Baby Dragon fell in the water and got soaked. She should have brought her swimsuit! Can you see Sweetie’s tan lines on her back? She browns better than all of us! She rarely burns, that must come from Handsome Husband’s side. I still make sure to slather everyone with sunscreen.
I made everyone pose for a picture. These kids are so blessed to have such a great daddy.
And then I requested a pyramid picture.
Someone else found this live crab on the beach.
Sweetie fell in love with it. She is so brave to pick it up!
My cute, critter loving girl.
